.58 caliber. 40" barrel secured by three rounded clamping bands. NSN. Bright finish, walnut stock. Single shot muzzleloading rifle musket with M1861 pattern leaf rear sight, Barleycorn front sight and socket bayonet lug, sling swivels and a straight shank tulip head ramrod. Standard markings, lock dated 1864 , breech weakly marked 1864 as well. Correct clear ESA cartouche on counterpane. Includes an original tompion and a reproduction sling.

Condition
Very Good. Bore very good, moderately oxidized with strong rifling. Metal cleaned to bright with scattered surface oxidation and discoloration with some scattered light pitting, mostly around the breech area. Markings mostly clear. Stock fairly crisp with some feathery texture and scattered minor bumps, dings and mars and a couple of small chips out at the tang..

All private-party purchases of modern firearms will be delivered to Guns N Ammo as soon as possible following Nevada Gun Auctions’ receipt of payment in full.
- California Residents — California residents holding a valid Curio & Relic License may pick up eligible firearms directly from our Nevada facility; however, Nevada Gun Auctions does not ship C&R firearms directly into California. All such transactions will be handled exclusively through Guns N Ammo.
- Shipping — All Nevada Gun Auctions shipments are sent via FedEx with adult signature required and insured for 1.5% of the purchase price unless waived in writing. Shipping costs for each lot are published within the lot description. Handguns are required by law to ship via FedEx 2Day Air.
