Top of barrel marked in one line: “UNION.” The pivoting barrel, single shot, single action spur trigger pistol has no sights and uses a spring-loaded pin under the barrel to release the barrel to pivot. These pistols were produced circa the 1880s with production estimated at about 3,100 pistols. Includes a period black pebble grained leather coin purse style holster.

Condition
Very good+. Metal with most of the nickel-plated finish intact with some flaked loss and high edge wear, showing some surface oxidation and roughness in the areas of loss. Hammer and trigger with dull colors. Markings remain clear and crisp. Not mechanically functional, hammer will not hold in half or full cock. Fair bore is dark, dirty, heavily oxidized and pitted with traces of rifling visible. Grips with light to moderate wear, showing dings, mars and marks. Coin purse holster very good with moderate wear and remaining fully functional.
