.22RF Short. 2.75” round barrel. SN: 1854. Full nickel finish, smooth walnut grips. Top of barrel marked “UNION”, bottom of frame stamped “4”. Interior of right grip numbered “1854”. These cheaply made single shot, spur trigger, pivoting barrel derringers were produced by the Norwich Falls Pistol Company of Norwich, CT during the 1880s with about 3,100 believed to have been produced. The pistol is accompanied by a brown leather flap holster with an interesting yoke suspension system from a belt loop that appears to accommodate a 1” belt. Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. It can also be delivered to the Annex Auctions facility for pick up in Sacramento for $25 or shipped via FedEx or USPS within the continental U.S. for $85. All shipments include Direct Signature Required and full replacement value insurance at a rate of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless the buyer accepts full liability in writing. Combined lot shipping is typically discounted.

Condition

Very good. Metal retains nearly all of what may be an old, period of use re-nickeled finish. Markings remain clear and legible. Mechanically functional action. Bore fair, heavily oxidized and pitted with no visible rifling. Grips with moderate wear. Holster very good and remaining serviceable with some scuffing, wear and finish loss.
