A large U.S. Navy officer’s visor cap badge by AMCRAFT (American Metal Craft Co., Attleboro, MA). The spread-wing eagle and shield are solid sterling silver, marked “Sterling” on the wing, while the fouled anchors are stamped “1/20 10K on Sterling.” One anchor arm bears the maker’s mark “AMCRAFT.” Hollow-back, stamped construction with screwback fitting and large brass retaining disks to reverse. This high-quality wartime insignia was worn on the caps of commissioned U.S. Navy officers. Dimensions: 2.30 x 2.30 in. Provenance: The Estate of Walter Redling, Encino, Ca. Pickup & Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. It can also be delivered to the Annex Auctions facility for pick up in Sacramento for $25 pre invoice.
