World War One royal artillery officer's sword featuring a straight blade with extensive etched decoration including foliate scrollwork and royal cypher of King George V. The ricasso is marked “Clement Gray / Sheffield,”. The hilt is of classic form with a pierced guard and knuckle bow, fitted with a wire-wrapped grip. The sword is accompanied by its leather-covered scabbard with metal mounts.
