An original WWI Imperial German Prussian Air Gunner’s Badge (Fliegerschützenabzeichen) by C. E. Juncker of Berlin, finely detailed and struck in gilt silver. The obverse features a soaring eagle over a circular target within a wreath of laurel and oak leaves, surmounted by the Imperial crown. The reverse bears the maker’s mark “C. E. Juncker, Berlin” with crescent moon, crown, and silver content hallmark “800.” Fitted with a long vertical pin, hinge, and catch. Instituted in January 1913, this badge was awarded to trained pilots of the Imperial German Air Service upon completion of flight training and qualification for active duty.
