World War II German M40 steel combat helmet retaining its original field-gray textured finish. The shell is stamped Q66, indicating manufacture by F.W. Quist, Esslingen, with rear skirt lot number 84409. Features the characteristic stamped ventilation holes of the M40 pattern and retains its original leather chinstrap.
