A matched pair of carved horn spoons attributed to the Ahousaht (historically spelled “Ahouset”) people of the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Each spoon is carved from a single piece of horn, with elongated oval bowls and gracefully curved handles, retaining natural coloration ranging from honey amber to deep brown. The surfaces show traditional hand-worked shaping and smoothing, with organic variations in thickness and curvature consistent with utilitarian and ceremonial Northwest Coast material culture. One spoon retains an old handwritten collection tag reading “Ahouset (sic), West Coast Vancouver Island, B.C.,”
