Original six-count packet of combustible envelope cartridges made of Hazard’s Powder, manufactured expressly for Col. Colt’s Patent Revolving Pocket Pistol by Colt’s Cartridge Works. The tan paper wrapper is boldly printed with period typography featuring small pistol vignettes at each corner. These pre-loaded paper cartridges were designed for Colt’s .31 caliber Pocket Model revolvers and other compatible percussion arms, combining powder and bullet in a paper case that was consumed upon firing.
