Original six-count packet of combustible envelope cartridges made of Hazard’s Powder, manufactured expressly for Col. Colt’s Patent Revolving Pocket Pistol by Colt’s Cartridge Works. The tan paper wrapper is boldly printed with period typography featuring small pistol vignettes at each corner. These pre-loaded paper cartridges were designed for Colt’s .31 caliber Pocket Model revolvers and other compatible percussion arms, combining powder and bullet in a paper case that was consumed upon firing. Dimensions approx.: 1.25 x 2.375 x 0.5 in. Provenance: The Al and Carol Cali Collection. Pickup & Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. It can also be delivered to the Annex Auctions facility for pick up in Sacramento for $25 pre invoice. Condition

Very good. Wrapper intact with strong legible print, minor toning and dark surface spotting to verso from powder bleed-through, light edge wear, and small abrasions consistent with age and handling.
