Well-made miniature SS membership stick pin featuring the distinctive SS runes in gilt against a black enamel ground within a circular border. These small stick pins were privately purchased miniature versions of the SS membership badge and were typically worn on civilian clothing or lapels during the period. The reverse is maker marked "HOFFSTÄTTER BONN" with the number "13216" above, identifying manufacture by Friedrich Hoffstätter of Bonn, a known producer of SS insignia and political badges. The pin shaft displays a spiral-twisted texture designed to grip heavy wool uniform fabric and prevent rotation when worn.
Dimensions approx.: .5 in. dia. x 2.25 in.

Very good. Black enamel face smooth and glossy with minor edge checking and small chips along portions of the outer perimeter. Gilt SS runes remain strong and well defined. Reverse markings clear with light age patina to the metal surfaces.
