Scarce die-struck badge in the form of an anchor entwined with rope, incorporating the large initials “U” and “B” for
U-Boot
. Constructed of tombac with darkened finish, showing high-relief detailing to anchor stock and rope. Reverse fitted with an integral vertical clip for wear, marked at the base with the cloverleaf logo of BSW (
Brüder Schneider A.G., Wien
). This variant is smaller than the standard U-Boat qualification badges, likely a tradition badge or privately purchased unit piece worn by submarine crew.
