Oval silvered tombac or zinc construction badge, featuring a raised German steel helmet with swastika, positioned above crossed swords, and surrounded by a laurel wreath with a tied bow at the base. The reverse shows a vertical pin-back setup with stamped maker’s code “30” for Hauptmünzamt Wien (Vienna Mint). The Silver Wound Badge represented the intermediate grade of the series (between Black and Gold) and was awarded to soldiers wounded three or four times in combat, or for a single severe wound.
