Mid-19th-century copper powder flask by the American Flask & Cap Co., featuring an embossed “shell and leaf” motif on both sides with raised foliate scroll at the neck. The flask retains its original brass top, marked A.M. FLASK & CAP CO., and fitted with an adjustable three-step charger marked in drams. A faint period etching or inscription is visible on the brass collar, possibly denoting ownership or loading reference. This design reflects a popular American sporting style of the 1840s–1860s, blending decorative repoussé artistry with practical field use.
