Finely crafted mid-19th-century copper powder flask in the distinctive “gunstock” form, embossed with scrollwork, checkered grip panels, and an integral molded maker’s cartouche near the collar bearing the James Dixon & Sons monogram. The reverse side is impressed “No. 94923,” denoting the factory mold pattern recorded in Dixon’s Sheffield catalog series. Fitted with a brass top stamped JAMES DIXON & SONS / SHEFFIELD and an adjustable charger marked in drams. A refined and ergonomic design favored by riflemen and sportsmen of the Victorian era, reflecting Dixon’s precision and craftsmanship.
