.38 Special. 6" barrel. SN: 602371 (mfg. ca. 1937). Blued finish, plastic faux stag grips and plastic Mershon grip adapter. Double action revovler with six-chambered swing out fluted cylinder with manual star extractor, frame groove rear sight, and half-moon blade front sight. Standard Colt markings. Left side of frame punch dot marked "J.F. LENNON" with a flourish and a flower and "S.P.O." indicating Sacramento Police Department. Includes a rare, early security retention holster, the clam shell puch button opening "Speed Holster".
This firearm is modern and must be picked up or shipped to a FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSE HOLDER or a CURIO AND RELICS HOLDER.

All private-party purchases of modern firearms will be delivered to Guns N Ammo as soon as possible following Nevada Gun Auctions’ receipt of payment in full.
Condition
Good to Very Good. Fine bore is mostly bright with some frosting and fine rifling. Metal with much of the blue intact, showing moderate wear and loss. Markings remain clear. Mechanically functional action. Grips somewhat ill fitting as is typical of aftermarket plastic grips of the era, grip adapter with moderate chipped loss. Holster with moderate wear but remaining fully functional from a mechanical standpoint.

- Shipping — All Nevada Gun Auctions shipments are sent via FedEx with adult signature required and insured for 1.5% of the purchase price unless waived in writing. Shipping costs for each lot are published within the lot description. Handguns are required by law to ship via FedEx 2Day Air.
