WW1 era USMC Archive of Will J. Adkins. He didn't actually serve in WW1, despite his service overlapping. He was in Haiti from June 1918 to December 1919. This group includes his Wool overcoat, a knit jerkin, a yard long photo of his unit in Philadelphia in December 1919 after they returned from the tropics, several photos of him in uniform, his dog tag on a key ring, a USMC razor, two certificates regarding his service,
and finally a Haitian $1 bill
. This is an interesting little group from the early part of the US occupation of Haiti from 1915-1934. An overlooked event in popular military history.
