World War I French Model 1915 Adrian steel helmet retaining a green-painted finish with age and service wear throughout. The front bears the stamped infantry badge featuring a flaming grenade above crossed implements and the letters “RF” (République Française). The helmet retains its characteristic comb crest and multi-piece construction typical of the Adrian pattern introduced in 1915. Interior retains portions of the original chinstrap hardware, while the liner has been removed, leaving the original mounting structure in place. A faint period-applied ink or painted marking remains visible inside the shell. The Adrian helmet became one of the most recognizable combat helmets of the First World War and remained in French service for many years thereafter.
