World War Two French Model 1926 Adrian steel helmet retaining its "Troupe de Génie" (Engineer Corps) front plate depicting an armor cuirass surmounted by a helmet and bearing the letters “RF” (République Française). The Adrian helmet became one of the most recognizable combat helmets of the First World War and remained in French service for many years thereafter, This M26 was a simplified version that ended up being used in WW2.
